Art for me is a process of exploration, a journey so to speak, of the particular chosen subject & medium. I have been especially interested in painting, drawing & photographing the human figure from a very early age, it was further enhanced and encouraged through my studies in New York. This has encompassed a great deal of study of the human anatomy, both textbook and real. Each new model challenges this knowledge base as well as adding to it. I have often heard from my instructors and friends in the arts "time is the real teacher". It is this time of putting graphite to paper or brush to canvas that tests your skill and abilities in each particular medium. My Photography incorporates this knowledge in considering poses for each model in placement and realism. I often stretch this knowledge, sometimes the outcome is good, but often only after a perilous journey, one that when complete better prepares me for the next.

I currently reside in Santa Fe, New Mexico; my studio is located on historic Old Santa Fe Trail, located in the foothills of this picturesque city I am surrounded by beauty. My work in various mediums continually feeds the creative hunger, each inspiring the other. My painting in series of the New Mexico Missions in a vibrant contemporary style, the Still Life and Figure series that pay homage to the many classical artists that preceded me.
